I remain grateful for the opportunity to write about cedar, and for an occasion to incorporate some of my recent thought about territory and territorial acknowledgements into a response to extremely thoughtful, sensitive and charismatic artworks.
Embedded in note 6 is a discussion of the etymology of the name Toronto, including some primary research that I was lucky to carry out with the help of Donna Bomberry and Ima Johnson at the Kawenni:io Language Preservation Project.
